Is There A Sleep Solution You Can Recommend That Doesn’t Use Drugs or Do Most Sleep Solutions Rely On Drugs ?

There are plenty of sleep solutions out there if you take a look, but to get a sleep solution that works for you may not be easy – what works for one person will not and does not necessarily work for another, as we are all very different in the way we are made up. The trouble with many sleep medications, over the counter or prescription is that although they may help you initially, they do not cure your insomnia, and in many cases, they make it worse. For both over the counter sleep medications, or prescribed drugs for insomnia, you generally end up needing ore and more to be able to sleep. They create a dependence on them, which is good for the drug companies, but not for your health.

When you stop sleep medication, there is a good chance that you will suffer from some withdrawal symptoms, like nausea, shaking and sweating. And sleep medications often have morning after side effects anyway, such as a dry mouth, confusion, and often a grogginess that is hard to shake off. If you take sleep medications, you also run the risk of the various medications you take interacting negatively with each other, so you should check with your doctor beforehand to find out if drugs can go together or not.

One of the biggest problems with sleep medications is that although they may help you sleep, they could mask a health issue by doing this. These issues, such as a mental or medical disorder would probably be treated differently and once diagnosed and treated could clear up the sleep problems anyway.

There are various relaxation programs designed to help you with a sleep solution, and you can also retrain the brain in the way it thinks and perceives things, so that you can fall asleep more easily, and get a better quality of sleep at the same time. This is worth looking into more fully, because it does mean that you do not have to take any over the counter medications, or prescription drugs, which surely makes it worth investigating further.

One of the things that we often forget, is that the body needs looking after well, with good food and exercise, for it to be at its best.

Sleep is very important, but if we eat junk food, and sit on the couch all day, then we are not doing anything to help our body stay healthy, and it will cause health problems. So eat the good foods, like fruits and vegetables, exercise, and get enough rest to give your body time to heal itself.

Unfortunately, some of the sleep solutions mentioned here need you to take time, and make an effort to overcome the sleep problems, and for many, it is much easier just to take a tablet to help you fall asleep.

Yes, it is easier, but relying on drugs is not the way to go, since you may become addicted to them, and may end up having more health problems because of the side effects of the drugs, which are not always known for the long term effects.

So, take a stance, try something different for your sleep solution – it is worth trying, for your health’s sake.
